The Map

This interactive map was created from community survey responses highlighting people’s favourite blue spaces across Melbourne. Organised into specific categories, it offers a snapshot of the valued aquatic environments that help us to connect to both water and to one another.

Note: Locations featured in this map were extracted from survey responses to the prompt, "If applicable, please name your favourite blue space(s) in Melbourne".

Help this map grow!

The hope is that this map can become a living community resource that helps both locals and visitors alike to discover new blue space environments across Melbourne. By contributing to this project, you can help to build a resource that supports connection, reflection and wellbeing whilst platforming some of the region’s most unique and cherished blue spaces!

Submit your suggested blue space locations below!

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin nation, and pay our respect to Elders: past, present, and emerging.

We recognise that the land on which we live and work holds great cultural and spiritual significance and that sovereignty was never ceded. These lands are, always were and always will be,

Aboriginal land.
